small move (books) uk-us

Postby manothenorth » Tue Dec 20, 2005 10:44 am

Hello. I would like to ask for some adivce. I have a relatively small move to accomplish (about 5 or 6 boxes of books in the main...quite heavy, but not amounting to larger than a sizeable fridge, all in). What is the best route for something like this? Obviously too much for aircraft luggage(!)...yet also seems well under the usual size and complexity for the whole "sofas and beds" deal. I haven't done this beofe, so are there other options I should be aware of?

What is my best option for achieving this, basically?

Do you have the measurements? Most moving companies are going to have a 3 cbm minimum. I would say UPS but it sounds as if it may be too heavy for that but again you should check it out first. Where are you located in U.K. near London?
