Scams to look out for!!!!!!!!

Postby WHYoung » Wed Apr 09, 2003 8:35 am

I find it interesting that the web site moving advocates.com and moving scam.com are registered to the same person and the info given to obtain these domains is false along with ALL the registration data. Today Moving scams and moving advocates DO NOT HAVE A WEBSITE LISTED WITH VERISIGN OR NETWORKSOLUTIONS!!!!!!!!!!!
who is scamming who???? are your donations going to a hood or terrorist??? who knows there is no way to contact these people other than the web!!!!! nice way to hide!!!!!!!!!!!!!
heres what sam spade says

SCAM??

Postby Michael » Wed Apr 09, 2003 9:08 am

Mr. Young,

So is it my understanding that you feel that this site along with movingadvocate.com is in some way, scamming people out of the millions and millions of dollars that are obvioulsy donated to these two sites??

Your replies sound as if you work for or are related some how to the company you keep inquiring about.

Your replies sound as if two different people if not more are typing them, cause one of you have a horrible spelling problem as evident by your very first post.

Having talked with Tim, of movingscam.com, and others here, they are fully aware of people that may try to portray a company as disrupt, criminal, or cheats, just because a move went bad, and not because they were scammed.

A move that doesnt go as planned, is not the same thing as a company that lies, cheats, and steals from relocating families. Those companies are not on the black list.

This site is framed around a common thread, to help those that have been cheated, lied to, and scammed out of thousands of more dollars then originally quoted. Trying to help those in the direction that need it. And hopefully, educating customers before they move, when its not to late, to do their homework, to know what to look out for, and to understand the moving industry as a whole. And to try to make a difference in regards to the rules and regulations within the moving industry.

So do I care who or what they are registered with or to whom, I sure dont. That doesnt sway my decision as to how I can help people out with some of my insight.

So go bark up another tree!!
Michael

WHYoung,

Is there something that I can help you with, or did you just forget to take your medication again? I will answer this once. If you continue to post messages in your current state of delirium, then I will be forced to restrict your access to this forum.

I am a computer programmer, and network/systems administrator, and I can tell you from a technical perspective that what you posted makes absolutely no sense.

The address and phone information listed on the domain registration for MovingScam.com is my old address and phone number - where I moved to when I hired "America's Best Movers". I will not update that information because I don't need fruitcakes like you calling me, or sending me letters at my home. Yair Malol, the owner of the company that I hired, the one that sparked this web site is sitting behind bars right now. Do you suppose he would like my home address as well? Do you think he'd want it so that he can send me thank you cards?

I remain completely accessable via this web site, so other than showing up at my door at a time of your choosing, I'm not sure what you want my home address for.

Next.... Once again, you make false statements regarding this web site in your post. You state:

I find it interesting that the web site moving advocates.com and moving scam.com are registered to the same person

when in fact my name, and the address I refer to above is listed on the registration for MovingScam.com, and James' real name (I'm not sure about his address or phone) are listed on the registration for MovingAdvocateTeam.com. We are not the same person.

Next, I have no idea what you are trying to prove by posting the crawl information from SamSpade.com. All you proved there is that the web site MovingScam.com exists. Way to be... hmmm... useless? And yes, the web site does reside on an IP address that is shared with dozens of other web sites. It's common in web hosting companies to conserve IP addresses, and it is the responsible thing to do since there are a limited amount of IP addresses available on the Internet.

Now, if there is a reasonable question that I can answer for you, I will be happy to do so. If you are just going to post paranoid illusionary messages, then I do hope that you seek medical attention.

Sincerely,
Tim Walker

Brian,

I'm interested to hear why you feel the way that you do. I won't disclose the amount of donations that this web site hast received, or any information about who has dontated to this web site. What I am willing to tell you is that in the six months that I have made it possible for people to contribute a donation to this web site (if they felt that it provided them with helpful information), fourteen people have taken me up on that request.

I will also tell you that this web site has been online for eighteen months, and I, as well as many other dedicated people have spent countless hours doing application development, web site design, company research, legal research, press interviews, government lobbying, and working with leaders in the industry. I've been insulted and threatened repeatedly because I don't pull punches when it comes to naming names.

I can absolutely assure you that the amount of donations that this web site has received is much less that the expenses that I have personally incurred. When I say that, I am only taking into consideration the actual financial expenses that are related to what goes on at MovingScam.com, and that does not include any of my time which I continue to donate on a daily basis, or the invaluable volunteers who also have helped, and continue to help consumers without asking for anything in return.

I'm not sure why I have to point this out, because it seems like it should be obvious to me, but this web site has one goal... to make sure that consumers don't need a site like this anymore. It's a self defeating web site, and if it's successful, then it's reward will be to go away. Nothing more, nothing less.

If you're interest is to discredit the time and effort that has been put into this web site, then I can't stop you from trying to do so. My hope is that the amount of information and helpful advice available here will speak for itself.
