Allied van lines/Western van and storage

Postby rogovin » Thu May 10, 2012 11:49 pm

Does anybody have any info or experience with Western Van&Storage

We are in Kent WA. They are agents for Allied Van Lines. The agent we met is Steve Lumbardo, sales manager.

He seems great but we have not actually moved yet...

Any opinion helps.

Lincoln Moving & Storage [Mayflower] is also in Kent.
Call them and ask for Randy Workizer. Tell him that Lee at Hidden Valley referred you.

No red flags on Western Van & Storage/Allied, but I would agree with Big Lee to interview at least one to two more movers before making your decision.
Call Dean Savage, owner of Apex Moving/Stevens Van Lines in Puyallup, WA.
Tell him Bill Adams referred you.
You'll have three estimates from licensed and capable movers.
Let us know if you need help comparing your estimates.

Western Van & Storage is a quality company and Steve Lombardo is a stand-up guy with a good reputation in the moving industry.

• These people lost one of our bookcases and driver tried to lie his way out of it. A crew member dropped and broke our expensive coffee table. They tried to give us a piece of furniture that didn't belong to us so I suspect someone has our bookcase and they are missing a DVD cabinet we refused to accept. As well, the crew was rude, the office girl was new, we went through 4 different 'move advisors...' the latest was over her head in her job and finally admitted our issues were above her. NEVER will we use Allied Van lines again who these guys represent. They even had forgotten our file cabinet until our neighbor drove 30 miles to leave it where the driver had to return to pick it up. Also we elected to pay extra for 'unpacking' and the day or two before the move they informed us 'unpacking' mean taking things out of a box and setting them on the floor or a 'flat surface', not what we thought about putting them up. We went with them as they were the lowest bid. You get what you pay for, or in my case we DID NOT get what we paid for considering lost furniture and broken items. We're still fighting to get them paid for. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.
