charges paid prior to delivery

Postby cinnamongirl » Mon Apr 13, 2009 2:56 pm

I am moving within Florida. I have read it is okay to prepay for moving expenses before delivery of my belongings. I have also read I should never prepay until I actually get my belongings. Any ideas about which one makes the most sense? Thanks. :hmm:

It depends on the moving company you select.

A Van Line will require payment at the time of delivery. However, if you pay by credit card, is it customary that they charge the card prior to the move.

If you wish to pay at delivery, just obtain a cashier's check for the amount of your not to exceed estimate, and if your charges are less than the not to exceed amount, you will be issued a credit back via the method you paid.
