Re: Go East Movers, Inc

Please listen to Movinghelper. The company address is a residence. With (reportedly) only 1 truck, most likely it will farm your shipment out to some other company . . . you have no idea who.

You could ask both All Star and Shea to recommend other companies.

I think it's useful to compare this with ABF UPack's BBB report, which shows only 51 complaints over the past three years - http://www.bbb.org/arkansas/business-re ... h-ar-14198

Just a note that sometimes Realtors recommend companies that are fine for local or short-distance moves but not so desirable for long-distance moves. The second company may be in that category. Many Realtors tend to be more familiar with the local scene than with interstate operations.

Re: Moving in South Florida - Again!

I don't see any ALS Moving listed on the Arpin website as an Arpin agent in FL. Can you provide the phone number and/or website URL for this company you are dealing with? Daniel Moving is still listed as an Atlas agent in Atlanta.

Re: Auto Transport Reviews (see p. 31 for companies we endorse)

ProStar is a broker . . . another broker that I've heard good things about is All American at 800-886-7135 associated with a guy named Elliott. I asked the owner of Golden Key about them and he said that he himself sometimes hauls for them and Elliott knows all the companies he uses, unlike some bro...

Also, if it's a small company they may just be overwhelmed.

I see that you're posting from Staten Island. If you can tell me what company you're trying to get a quote from, I may be able to offer more insight since I know the owners of most of the endorsed NYC-area companies.

Re: Delay claim – North American Van Lines

summer11, Was your shipment put into a container before it was moved as freight by a freight hauler? I have heard in the past that NAVL does that in the summer when they don't have household goods drivers available. (I believe that other van lines do so as well, but perhaps to a lesser extent than N...

Re: Reviews of Olympus Moving and Storage? Advive please!

This company has three very bad reviews on RipoffReport and all on Yelp (except this gentleman's) are also bad - http://www.yelp.com/biz/olympus-moving- ... e-brooklyn I've heard that Kudzu reviews are easily faked.

Isn't this customer asking about the booking agents (move managers, e.g. Stevens and Rainier) competing with each other?

Re: Confused about Ca NY express movers. Www.moveeast.com

Joyce is coming hopefully coming round on Monday but it seems because I'm in LA they will simply be acting as a broker for Allied. Could someone from Joyce comment on this, please? Contacted Moovers. They sent an email with an inventory sheet to fill out (email from Matt H). Matt H. is the presiden...

Personally I am 100% wary of anyone who misspells "receive" as "recieve."

Sounds too much like those phishing emails we all "receive" asking us to forward our logins and passwords and bank info ASAP lest our email accounts be shut down.

Re: Moving from NYC to MA - (Jumbo express DBA) Spirit Van Lines

I searched on the MC number you gave (624624) and this thread came up - m From what movinghelper posted, it appears that this company is connected to some very bad actors (see last post in the thread). I suggest calling the four companies endorsed by MovingScam in your area - Shea, All Star, Moovers...
