Re: Is there a forum for moving pets internationally?

We will be moving to Germany, and this is what I have found so far. Delta is the only airline that will allow the cats in cabin on a transatlantic flight. All other airlines will only ship cargo. Continental has a pretty specific program but it's also expensive. US Airways, United, American, and Lu...

Re: Is there a forum for moving pets internationally?

We wanted to book airline tickets and reserve a space for our animals in cargo, but the airline insists that we use a pet moving company. The airline itself cannot tell us whether they have space in cargo for the animals or not. I find that very strange. Does everyone who moves internationally have...

Re: Problem with releasing container from the port

ok, GOOD NEWS, I got my telex release document and container is released. It "only" took 20 days....

It even changed the status on the track website to
GDYNIA, PM, PL Gate Out Full

Now, all I have to wait are customs, I hope they won't give me hard time.

Re: Problem with releasing container from the port

^^^thanks, I just got the case number from them, and someone was assigned to it. I spoke to some people at custom agency, and they said it's normal for containers to be on hold for 1-3 weeks, mine is 2 weeks and 2 days so far. What bothers me, the container went ~7000miles without any problems, and ...

Re: Problem with releasing container from the port

Thank You for all the comments. Today, I spent few hours calling back and forth. Looks like there is a chain of 4 companies dealing with my container. Oryginal company in Chicago, "Aro Transport", then "Empire United", MSCU cargo freight, and another company to move my stuff in Poland from Gdynia to...

I will have a lot of stuff, probably 2/3 of the 40ft container, including car, ATVs and personal belongings. My qu...
